SIERRA NEVADA CLASSICAL GUITAR COMPETITION 2008

Competition open to all Classical Guitar performers, no age limit.
FIRST PRIZE $1000 SECOND PRIZE $500 THIRD PRIZE $300
Each prize is inclusive of $300 of merchandise provided to the competition winners
by D'Addario Foundation for the Performing Arts.
Competition winners will also receive some additional proceeds from
the Competition Concert, August 2, 8:00pm.
Round One Free Choice Program, Seven minute limit.
(Contestants may be asked to stop at any time.)
Round Two Free Choice Program Fifteen minutes.

(Works performed in Round One may be repeated with no penalty, time limit strictly observed.)
All decisions of the juries are final.

First Round Judges: Kevin Manderville, Matthew Cochran, Salome Sandoval, additional Judges may be added.
Final Round Judges: Stephen Aron, Jan de Kloe, Kristian Anderson

Competition registrations accepted until 9:30am Aug. 1. Register in advance with credit card, bring cash to register on site.

FLIGHTS
If you are flying you will want to book a ticket to
Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
The Festival site is typically a 45 minute scenic drive from the airport on a well paved but winding mountain road.
Take Highway 395 south from the airport to Highway 431, then take the exit going to Lake Tahoe and Incline Village.

SHUTTLE
It's possible to attend this Festival without driving or renting a car!

Shuttles are available everyday from the Reno airport to Festival and accommodations sites in Incline Village, NV,
Crystal Bay, NV and Kings Beach, CA.
